The best way to apply skincare…

Facial Massage Rolling is a traditional Chinese treatment that is a great way to replicate a touch of the therapist when you’re at home, as it can be used firmly in conjunction with facial oils and serums. I love facial rolling because these simple beauty tools feel so cool and deeply therapeutic when rolled across the forehead, brows, cheeks and jawline. A simply technique of rolling (pop it in the fridge overnight or 30 mins before use) can help boost lymphatic drainage to help depuff, and tone skin by boosting its micro-circulation (nicely pink within seconds). Plus a little daily face ritual, morning and night (or by your desk as I rather like) while applying skincare products to help give the roller more slip on your skin, can really help to relieve stress and tension that we hold deep within our facial muscles.

Our JOGB Facial Roller is made from Black Obsidian, a beautiful dark volcanic rock, naturally cool to the touch, that is known for its positivity in crystal healing, helping to give protection, peace and happiness, while cleansing sadness and imbues strength and balance. Well, I don’t know about you but I could do with all of the above!

How To Use a Dual-Ended Facial Roller at Home

JOGB TIP: Black Obsidian is naturally cool, but if you store in the fridge 30-60 mins (or overnight) it will be especially refreshing to use first thing.

  1. On clean skin, or using a lightweight facial oil or serum for extra slip, start with the large end. Lightly press and stroke in firm single strokes across the forehead and brows (my favourite roll to relieve temple tension), then upward strokes across the forehead, up and under the cheekbones and out to the ears, outwards from the centre of the chin to the base of the ears, and upwards along the throat to the jawline. Repeat 3-5 times in each position.

  2. Next, take the smaller end and stroke inwards from the outer corner of the eye, again using light yet firm strokes. You can also use this smaller end to press and stroke along the nasolabial (nose) lines that benefit from muscle stimulation.

  3. Perfect for all skins or all ages, clean the roller after use in warm water and dry thoroughly. Store in its bag somewhere safe so that it can’t be dropped.

  4. Repeat morning and night as preferred, making it part of your ageless skincare ritual.
